On October 2, 2024 the Department of the Navy will issue the pre-release of its 25.4 Catapult Challenge BAA which will open to receive proposals on October 23, 2024, and close to proposal submission November 20, 2024 at 12:00pm ET.
- Catapult Challenge leverages Navy Catapult to mature and demonstrate existing SBIR prototype technologies, inform scaling decisions, and meet priority operational needs.
The Navy will host a virtual "Ask Me Anything" session dedicated to the Catapult Challenge BAA on October 9, 2024. Meeting participation details will be available here and in the BAA when the pre-release is issued.
Some unique features of this Catapult Challenge opportunity includes:
- Leverage Navy Catapult to adapt existing prototype technologies to meet operational needs identified by senior leadership
- Competitive selections based on technical accomplishments of previous Phase I or Phase II award and technical merit of proposed approach to meeting requirements of the Catapult Challenge topic
- Tailored awards to meet transition targets
- No customer memorandums of understanding or financial commitment
- A small business concern may only submit one (1) proposal to each topic
